hi, i’m eliza ceci.
I’m a certified Christian life coach for women ready to build a Jesus-centered life without the overwhelm + second guessing. Sanctification is a process you’ll go through with the Lord for the rest of your life. So why is there the tendency to either push ahead and rush the process or be stuck in inaction and procrastination? The short answer is fear.
A few years after I was saved I spent an entire year in confusion and worry that my choices wouldn’t be pleasing to God. I frequently heard the voice of the Holy Spirit, would make a decision to be obedient, only for my thoughts to be overtaken by worry, fear, and self doubt.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
My fear of the Lord was strong but my trust in His provision was weak. Could He really do anything with me?! Was what He placed in front of me really meant to serve His Kingdom? I was still struggling to walk in complete surrender in spite of all He’d already delivered me from.
If you’re struggling in how to live out what God has called you to, I want to encourage you that you’re in the right place. Your love for Christ is a beacon of light and hope that the world needs. In my coaching programs I help women like you to experience revelation, clarity, wisdom, and healing through the power of the Holy Spirit who guides our work together.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
-Romans 8:28
A little about me…
Married to my college sweetheart, we live a happy, quiet life in the NJ suburbs (with dreams of homesteading in the future). How cute would it be to have chickens named Dolly + Emerald?
I’m a certified Christian Life Coach & I have 15 years experience as a business consultant and coach. I love supporting women entrepreneurs. If you have a dream I’d love to help you get it out into the world.
I don’t believe we should trade tarot cards for opening the Bible for a verse to ‘speak to us’. Read the Word as a way to know and love God. And remember to ask the Holy Spirit to help you every step of the way. God has a plan & a future for you!
I’m currently converting to Becoming Catholic and sharing my experience in our newly launched podcast, take a listen here.
… my advice for new believers …
01.
follow god’s pace
Generally, when you’re saved a lot happens within you all at once. It takes time for your new Christ-identity to feel real after believing so differently for so long. We lose friends, feel misunderstood, and are misplaced outside of our communities. Jesus is inviting you into His family which will give you freedom, peace, and hope - even if it feels scary at first.
I recommend resisting the desire to rush through these transitions because sanctification is a life-long process. Remember that God’s pace is gentle, the enemy is the one who rushes, distracts, and plants fear inside of you.
02.
write it all down
Your testimony matters and it gives glory to God! Record everything that feels meaningful in a journal or on your Notes App (with dates). These notes will be a blessing for you to look back on when you disciple others!
Say your story out loud to yourself (or to your pets or bestie) until you feel ready to share with others. What’s happening through you is a big deal. You’ll want to remember the details that your mind might forget with time. We never know who our story could impact & also bring to the Lord.
03.
find community
Making friends that have the same faith and values as you is incredibly helpful! For the first year after being saved I kept everything inside, only telling my husband some of what I was going through. I don’t recommend that! It’s important to be discipled and get support.
In whatever way you can, find communities, friends, a church, and/or Bible study group. Make time weekly to be with like-minded people. It might feel akward at first (hi, fellow introverts) but it really does get easier in time.
